Ain't life strange.

Ain't life strange?     A few years ago I lost my best friend.  Recently I was thinking about what he was and what life brings.   I thought once I am gone all I was and all I would ever be are gone.  My friend was kind, generous, intelligent, educated, and courteous.  I was confident my wife and daughter liked him more than me (just kidding). He was all those things and more.  He genuinely cared about people not just lip service.  He had become an educator at the school I was working at.  Prior to this job he was a CPA working in the school districts headquarters.  He attended Rutgers University and New Mexico State.  His wife passed away from cancer a few years earlier and I felt he was lost without her.  As with most intelligent accomplished persons he did well with all things he attempted.  He played guitar and bass in a jazz band.  When he found a position with the church band he devoted himself to practice...
